Joyce Ballantyne

Joyce Ballantyne (1918 - 2006), attended the Art Institute of Chicago and the American Academy of Art. She painted pinups for the prestigious line of Brown & Bigelow calenders beginning in 1945. Ballantyne created the iconic Coppertone image of the girl getting her bathing suit pulled down by a dog.
